Fab Looks From Heineken Lagos Fashion & Design Week 2015 (Day 1)

Written by Mary Babalola James

Heineken Lagos Fashion & Design Week kicked off yesterday, 28th October 2015! This is such an exciting time for Fashion Lovers as we get to witness fab pieces by our favourite designers come to life on the runway! It's also a time to spot incoming trends. A very important part of fashion week is the 'Street Style' Fashion Bloggers and Influencers display their unique fashion looks & trendy pieces. Love itttt!

Street- Style

Temi Otedola of JTO Fashion

I'm not so crazy about the front view of this playsuit on j.t.o (a more clinched waistline would have been more flattering) but the side view is super boho-chic and very comfy for the hectic first day of #LFDW

Akin Faminu

While I appreciate his sense of style‎ and boldness to pull of this look, I find the complete look a likkle too busy- there's the tie, pocket square, brooch... just Wayyy too much going on. The suit is a newsprint one and just about says enough without everything else trying.  A plain mock turtleneck (in a contrasting color - green, blue anything) and loafers or sneakers would be more appropriate.

Uche Odoh

Brown brogues and that African print shirt dress is easy, comfy yet stylish

Sisiano

I'm a huge fan of monochrome so this is definitely a 10 for me... comfy, warm and easy styled.

Desola Mako

Visor g‎oodness... I definitely love the way it gives some attitude to her ensemble.

Tonye Garrick

‎Comfy, sporty, chic and definitely good to go. Black is definitely a go to, always... she looks great without trying so hard.
Ono Bello

‎Love this Kinabuti outfit. The orange and white colours add flavour to the ensemble. It also gives her tall frame a lengthier look without looking like Mr Fantastic...lol,  ombre weave emphasises her great skin, simple accessories (less is usually more and allows it all come together purrfectly)

Red Carpet

Zainab Balogun

This look on Zainab has her skin looking like liquid gold. The infusion of a wrap at the waist gives an African twist to the dress and the fringe gives it a flirtatious air (I love fringes...)#urbanafricanchic definitely suits this dress mode.

Fisayo Longe

‎Fisayo looks great in this monochrome outfit and those legs.... the metallic blue tone sets off her tone perfectly. hair-check, outfit-check,  legs- double check

Mimi Onalaja

Love her Style! I doubt Mimi has bad days! She's always well put together.

Noble Igwe

Noble has definitely mastered the art of looking dapper all day, every day! this camel coloured 'Rhobesco' suit is perfect for fashion week. Can't wait to see the rest of his looks. He's definitely one to watch!  #HeinekenLFDW2015
