Fun and fearless is how to describe Nigerian born multi-disciplinary artist and photographer, Yagazie Emezi’s style. Simple but chic with a minimalist undertone the 27 year old is effortless when it comes to dressing up, always looks like she’s in high spirits and obviously doesn’t conform to trends.
One can almost say that Yagazie has a sort of Solange-esque style, with a lot of bright pieces and marrying of prints. Obviously she has her way of making a personal statement with her outfits. She describes one of the things that make her happy to be “...A single plucked flower given on a regular day” and that sums up her happy-go-lucky persona really.
Whether leaving her gorgeous mass of natural hair free or knotted in very long braids, Yagazie’s style is becoming synonymous with all things quirky, independent and cool. Here are some of my favorite looks.
