Behind every great fashion-forward Instagram account is a girl with a few tricks up her sleeve. Not only is a stylish feed aesthetically pleasing, it can inform followers' shopping decisions; provide insight as to cool places to eat, drink, vacation, and shop; and it can even lead to business opportunities. If these are your goals then here 9 tricks in particular that I've compiled to guide you toward your #InstagramGoals

The blogger pose
Fashion girls typically post images at an angle or avoid including only themselves as the entire subject in the frame. This trick adds an artistic touch to photos.  Follow enough of these stylish ladies and you'll start to see a pattern.

Scenery
A feed filled with just friends, animals, or accessories can get a little stale, unless you're going for a theme with your account. If not, include a mix of people, scenery, and object-based images and videos.

The Not-so-selfish selfie
While fashion conscious girls certainly post selfies from time to time, they usually feature something else besides just themselves to shift the attention away from the fact that they're taking a selfie. The most common selfie additions that I see include cool sunglasses or jewelry, cute pets, and special backgrounds.
Foodie
This is an easy way to add interest to your feed and spark emotion from your viewers. Pictures of different sorts of well-arranged delicacies is a regular occurrence on every fashion-forward Instagram account.
Editing apps
Whether bright and colorful, white-washed, or muted, a consistently hued feed is common among fashion-forward accounts. Try using similar IG filters for your posts or cool editing apps VSCO and Faded.

Shoefie!
Every fashion girl loves a good shoefie. Bonus points if the floor is equally stylish. Shoefies > selfies!

Artsy Artsy
If you have any current hobbies, forget about them. If you want to be Instagram famous with this aesthetic, your new hobby is to go out and find colored walls and cool backgrounds.
Flat lay
Put something in front of or on your white space and center it! Easy, right?
The background is the main event in the photo, but keep in mind that there's a happy medium. Something too busy can feel off.
Instagram photography

Although a flash is often essential for evening posts, fashion-forward feeds are usually devoid of flash, instead opting for the fresh feel and flattering effect of natural light.
