Washington Roberts's SS16 Collection Lookbook - "Kintinkantan"

Washington Roberts recently released their SS16 Collection Lookbook titled "Kintinkantan". The collection features bright colours, bold cuts , patterns and amazing structure.

The designer shared his ideas behind the collection saying:
This season, I explored the idea of graphic and geometric shapes through an African lens. Using the Adinkra Symbol, “KINTINKANTAN” which means PUFFED UP EXTRAVAGANCE as the focal point of the collection, allowed me to lavish the Washington Roberts woman in the splendour of Demi-Couture.
“Adinkra cloths” were traditionally worn only by royalty, translating this element into wearerbility for todays woman was important during the development of the collection. Collaborating with our Italian fabric weavers, we created custom geometric jacquard, double face twill jacquard with silk organza, silk/wool and pantent leather. Transformation, extravagance, and elegance personifies the inspirations behind the collection"
